MeshMaster
MeshMaster
converts FracWorks discrete feature network (DFN) models into finite element
meshes suitable for use with the MAFIC flow and transport
code. MeshMaster produces triangular finite elements representing fractures.
Boundary conditions are assigned at nodes. Quadrahedral volume elements can
be produced for relatively simple fracture geometries. Meshmaster works with
boundary condition and simulation control header files generated by the DOS
based FracMan utility MeshMaker.
The MeshMaster algorithm is illustrated on the linked
graphic.
MeshMaster is a character based interactive application, and is used primarily
for generating MAFIC finite element meshes on Unix workstations. A Java based
user interface is under development. EdMesh is frequently
used to further refine meshes generated using MeshMaster.
